Peter Heller, campaign counsel
Peter is clear thinking, articulate and detail-oriented. He combines great experience in fundraising for organizations large and small with an ability to think straight, manage people well and write compellingly. Peter’s experience includes serving as a fundraiser and administrator for Columbia University, where he became the Director of Development for the School of Engineering and Applied Science. Peter has taught Major Gift Fundraising in Columbia’s Fundraising Management Program, and since 2005, has consulted for a diverse group of clients including The Actors’ Fund (NYC), The Sant Bani School (NH), The Chinese Medical Science Foundation (NYC), and The Healing Project (NYC).

Paul Jolly, campaign counsel
Paul started his career in the Quaker universe, managing successful campaigns for the Scattergood Friends School in Iowa and Pendle Hill Retreat Center in Pennsylvania. He worked as a major gift officer for The Wilderness Society, soliciting gifts of between $1,000 and $1 million. While at the American Civil Liberties Union of Maryland, he planned and launched the largest campaign in that group’s history. Paul is smart, incisive and persistent; his momentum and energy move projects ahead. Paul thinks clearly, writes wonderfully and is not afraid of a challenge.

Michael Miller, consultant, trainer, analyst
A consummate consultant, trainer, researcher and analyst, Michael has a zest for gathering and analyzing information to unlock trends and secrets–and assembling the results in a way that’s invaluable to his clients.. As a trainer, Michael models best practices—developing clear training objectives and then designing programs that yield the desired results. His trainings engage people in the learning process, and encourage them to extract core principles that will guide their work back at the shop. His friendly style, good humor and wit leaven training sessions, and people leave feeling fresh, even after long days in windowless rooms. Michael’s clients include The Fundraising School in Indiana, the ACLU, PASE, The Robin Hood Foundation, The Foundation Center, The Global Fund for Women, and a wide assortment of other progressive organizations.

Tony Knerr, strategist
Tony constantly focuses his colleagues and clients on the importance of careful, clear, steadfast strategic thinking. To work with him is to be constantly reminded of the power of a good mind, imbued with wisdom, elegance and good humor. Tony’s projects are as far-ranging as Bard College, New York City Center for Charter School Excellence, Oxford University, Columbia University and Institute for Music and Neurologic Function among many others. He serves as both friend and strategic advisor to Andrea and is available to our clients when the need presents.

Jezra Kaye, communications
A highly motivating coach who shares deep insights with clarity and warmth, Jezra helps Executive Directors, Board Chairs and Development Directors deliver their messages with maximum impact, in both individual and public settings. Her work enhances each person’s speaking abilities, building on their strengths and focusing their message. A noted speaker in her own right, Jezra also designs and leads staff development workshops on a range of communications topics. She is a veteran of the corporate communications world, and recently led a team that developed content for a major Pavilion at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Todd Lindsley, consultant
Todd Lindsley of Lindlsey Consulting Group brings a wealth of experience to our group, both as a development staff member and as a consultant for organizations small and large. While working as Vice President with the consulting firm Ross, Johnston and Kersting, Todd provided counsel to over sixty organizations nationwide whose combined capital campaign goals exceeded $1 billion. His work included internal assessment studies, team building exercises with fund raising staffs, campaign feasibility studies, campaign planning, volunteer recruitment and training, major gift program development, executive searches, and campaign management. His knowledge and experience in fundraising is wide, but at least as important, he’s a hard-working, personable, smart colleague.

Brian Saber
Brian Saber has more than 25 years of fundraising and non-profit management experience.  Most recently Brian served as Associate Director and Executive Director of Hudson Guild, a Settlement House in New York City. Brian's strengths include major gift fundraising, organization management, board development, and financial analysis.  He has a straightforward, straight-talking approach and an engaging style with donors, boards and staff alike.  As a fundraiser, Brian is unparalleled in his ability to cultivate and solicit donors. He has closed many groundbreaking gifts for various organizations and brings this hands-on solicitation experience to his work with The Kihlstedt Group.
